Nicki & Gary’s plan for an intimate and chic backyard Portland wedding with around 50 guests was scrapped when COVID restrictions forced them to either postpone or extremely limit their wedding. Making the most of a weird year, they opted to still throw a celebration in a cozy beach house Airbnb in Waldport on the Oregon Coast with their 15 nearest and dearest friends and family. The energy of the day felt like a one of those great beach getaways you always dream about; sunshine, sand, pool tables, grilled food, all of your favorite people, and the salty air. Their ceremony took place on the grounds of the property, overlooking the bay with lots of DIY and handmade details hanging in the trees while their friends and family gathered around them and utilized a large log for seating. After the ceremony everyone went for a sunset walk along the beach (!) and then ran inside to warm up and relax. Dinner was prepared by a few friends, while everyone else milled around, watched the sun dip below the horizon, and imbibed on homemade limoncello. There was plenty of karaoke and a Polaroid being passed around, which added to the low-key, beach house party vibes. <3Â
